Patch's Uncanny Mother-Daughter Look-Alikes (Happy Mother's Day!)

They may or may not like it but daughters are more often than not an extension of their mothers, reflections of their values, aspirations and, of course — looks. This Mother's Day, Patch asked readers from across the country to share their best "mother-daughter look-alike" photos, to show off that proud bond between mom and daughter.

The response was overwhelming, the resemblances often uncanny.

Our readers shared photo after photo, showing off the likeness between mothers and daughters. And readers continue to share photos and stories about what makes their mother-daughter relationship so special.

Here, Patch has rounded up some of our favorite submissions so far. We'll be honest: it was hard to pick out just a handful because every photo was beautiful in our eyes. Kassy Najm and her daughter Madelyn, from Mission Viejo, California. The two enjoy surfing the Orange County coastline together.

Adriane and Alora, from San Lorenzo, California. Their bond is travel and Adriane sent us this photo of the pair in Costa Rica on New Year's Day in 2017.

Marisa Good, of Alameda, California and her daughter, Desiree, of Concord, California. Marisa says she and her daughter are like two peas in a pod.

Scarlett Hubbard and her mom Rachel. Scarlett says her mom is her best friend.

Anita Poncia and her daughter, Amanda, of Dedham, Massachusetts.

Ruth Cunniffee and her daughter Kailey, of Dublin, California. Ruth sent us this photo of the two of them in Arizona where her daughter was playing in The Phoenix Cup.

Laurie Rembaugh, of Livermore, California and her daughter Kimberly. Laurie sent us this sweet note about her daughter, "She is the most amazing daughter and mother I could ever ask for and I love her so very much! Now she lives in Georgia and I miss her so much."

Molly and Hannah Meskienyar, of Castro Valley, California. The two love music and this photo was taken at a Justin Timberlake concert in April.

Janet Plankenhorn and her mother, Margie. "My mom suffers with dementia and I treasure every day I spend with her," Janet told Patch. "She's the best mom ever."

Britt Moroles and her daughter, Mikaela, of Dublin, California. The two are huge fans of the Oakland A's.

"While some of their features may not be a perfect match, in the traditional sense, I can assure you that these two beauties have the identical spirit and heart! They are also a carbon copy of each other's personality," he writes. "You will not find a more deserving mother-daughter look-alike pair than my wife and daughter, Shelby Rideout (Mom) & Tensae Rideout (7-years old)."

Jen Kanter and her daughter, Alex, of Los Angeles. "Thank you for being an adventurous & curious daughter, Alex." Jen wrote to her daughter. "Mother's Day is special to me because we always share the day exploring together."

Catherine Hagebusch and her daughter or her "mini-me," Emma, of Hayward, California.

Melinda Clay and her daughter, Kady, of Harwood, Maryland. Melinda says that her daughter Kady has got her crazy side. She's not sure if that's a good or a bad thing but we think it's good!

Nutan Mathur and her daughter, Devina, of Ellicott City, Maryland.

Crystal Derma, of Vienna, Virginia, sent us this photo showing her likeness to her late mother. Crystal shared this message with us:

"My mother has unfortunately passed on but at her funeral, many relatives were in shock at how much I look like her. I miss her every day."

Rolita Brownlee, of Alexandira, Virginia sent us this photo of three generations of women: Rolita, Madgerine and Jaleah. Rolita describes this photo as "three generations of beauty."
