Sarah Palin Endorses Donald Trump
The Republican frontrunner got a vote of confidence from a persuasive figure in the Republican party.

Former Alaska Gov. and 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump for president of the United States.
Palin confirmed the endorsement in a statement to the New York Times.
“I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for president,” she said in a statement to the Times.

The Times called the endorsement “the highest-profile backing for a Republican contender so far.”
“I am greatly honored to receive Sarah’s endorsement,” Trump said in a statement to the Times. “She is a friend and a high-quality person whom I have great respect for. I am proud to have her support.”

Palin was scheduled to appear with Trump at a rally on Iowa State University’s campus Tuesday evening, the Times reported.
