Sheriff In Oregon Shooting Case Shared Video Questioning Sandy Hook Massacre
The sheriff has been vocal in his pro-gun views.

John Hanlin, the Douglas County sheriff in charge of investigating the Oregon community college shooting case, shared a Sandy Hook truther video on his personal Facebook page in January 2013.
The video claims, among other things, that parents who appeared on TV following the shooting were actors and that there were multiple shooters who committed the December 2012 massacre of 20 schoolchildren and six adults in Newtown, Connecticut.
“This makes me wonder who we can trust anymore,” Hanlin wrote in the Facebook post, which you can see above. “Watch, listen, and keep an open mind.”

But absolutely no authorities or anyone who directly investigated the mass killing have suggested there was more than one shooter or that actors played the role of grieving parents.

Mother Jones first reported on the Facebook post.
Two days after making the Facebook post, Hanlin wrote a letter to Vice President Joe Biden opposing stricter gun control.
More recently, Hanlin has been the local law enforcement figurehead following the killings at an Oregon community college Thursday. Hanlin has consistently refused to identify the shooter by name and has urged news outlets to refrain from naming him.
