Suspected Texas Walmart Robber All Smiles After Arrest
This isn't everyone's reaction when they're facing life in prison.

Aaron Arnaldo Gomez was arrested for robbing a Walmart, but his reaction when he was booked wasn’t what you would expect from someone facing possible life in prison.
Gomez flashed a big smile when he was arrested and taken to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office this week.
It started in September, when employees at the New Braunfels, Texas, Walmart told police that a man tried to leave the store at 3 a.m. without having paid for “a number of items.”

When he was confronted by employees, police said, the man “displayed what appeared to be a firearm and threatened employees with bodily harm if they continued to follow him.”
He fled on foot, and no one could find him that night.

Detectives worked for weeks to identify Gomez, and he was eventually tracked down and arrested Monday through the work of several different law enforcement agencies, including New Braunfels Police and the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
Gomez was arrested, held on $100,000 bond and charged with aggravated robbery, which could land him up to life in prison if convicted, police said.
That’s doesn’t seem like anything to smile about.
