Texas Begins Cleanup After Deadly Storms
Tornadoes in northern Texas killed 11 people and destroyed hundreds of homes.

The extent of the damage from the weekend’s deadly tornadoes in northern Texas is coming into focus, as cleanup begins across the region.
At least 11 people died in the tornadoes, and officials estimated that as many as 1,450 homes were destroyed.
The hardest hit was Garland, Texas, where eight people died and as many as 600 structures were damaged.

Officials said the tornado that tore through Garland was an EF-4, the second-highest designation possible.
