Texas Trooper Offered To Pay Woman For Sex After Traffic Stop: Report

The 31-year-old offered her $300, according to reports.

A Texas state trooper was released from a brief stint in jail Tuesday after he pulled a woman over for speeding and offered her $300 for sex, according to magistrate records and multiple local media reports.

Christopher Champion, 31, pulled over a 20-year-old woman for speeding in September and asked her to meet him in a restaurant parking lot in Selma, near San Antonio, KSAT reported.

Once there, the Department of Public Safety trooper offered her $100 for sex, and when she refused, he upped the offer to $300, according to KSAT, which cited an arrest affidavit.

Champion took her phone and sent a text to himself and later contacted the woman, KSAT said. He propositioned her and sent her pictures, including one of him in his state trooper uniform, KSAT reported.

Under the guidance of investigators, she agreed to meet him for what he thought was free, consensual sex, KSAT reported.
