The Tweet That Made Donald Trump Apologize (And Blame 'The Intern')
Trump doesn't do this very often.

Donald Trump did something Thursday that he doesn’t do very often and which seems to go against his whole “haters and losers” mentality: He apologized.
More specifically: He tweeted an apology from an intern for retweeting on his behalf.

After a new poll was released showing Trump and Ben Carson tied in Iowa, the realDonaldTrump retweeted a supporter who said, “#BenCarson is now leading in the #polls in #Iowa. Too much #Monsanto in the #corn creates issues in the brain? #Trump #GOP”
It’s now been deleted, but you can see a screenshot below:

The crack on corn got Trump an earful.
Seems like the idea that chemicals in Iowa-grown corn are rubbing people in the state — a critical caucus state — the wrong way.
More than three hours later, he sent out this apology:
(No word on the intern’s condition after being tossed under the bus.)
This isn’t the first time that Trump’s Twitter account has landed him in hot water. In August, he retweeted supporters calling Fox News’ Megyn Kelly a “bimbo.”
At the time, he told CNN, “Well I do retweets, and I mean, to a certain extent, I do, yeah. I think that’s right. Do you want me to say, no? You know, I retweet, I retweet for a reason.”
