WATCH: Man Flies In Personal Helicopter Made Out Of Drones
It gets him off the ground—at least for a second.
One man is taking the drone phenomenon to a new level: personal transportation.
CBS Minnesota shared video of one man who used a “matrix of drones” attached to makeshift cockpit to create a helicopter capable of lifting him off the ground, at least temporarily.

The array features 54 propellers, according to CBS Minnesota, and can stay in the air for 10 minutes before the battery dies.
In the video above, the man starts up the propellors and hovers about a foot or two above the ground for a few seconds before touching back down.

While it’s impressive to see a group of household drones lift someone off the ground temporarily, it doesn’t appear that he’ll be using this contraption for reliable transportation any time soon (nor will he be winning any fashion awards).
