WATCH: Tiny Texas Woman Wrestles 800-Pound Alligator In Houston Strip Mall

And lives to tell about it.

A Texas dentist helped authorities wrangle an 800-pound gator out of a shopping center parking lot, and it was all caught on video.

Christy Krobroth’s day job is a dental hygienist, but she’s also a member of the Gator Squad, a group of licensed professionals who can legally wrestle and trap alligators for Texas Parks and Wildlife.

”A lot of times when I show up on a call, it’s cops and mostly guys,” she told CBSDFW. “They’re like, ‘Texas Parks & Wildlife sent you?’ They kind of doubt me at first, until I really get them taped and ready to go.”

Nobody’s doubting her any more.

The 12-foot alligator was spotted at a strip mall in Sugar Land, near Houston. Authorities called in for backup, and Kroboth showed up, jumped on the unruly gator and helped get it under control.

The alligator will be sent to a sanctuary.

“He’ll probably just live out the rest of his life and have girlfriends and make babies and be fed every day,” she said.

“He’ll be a happy gator.”
