WATCH: Walmart 'Melee' Over TVs Lands Texas Man In Jail
He pushed an old woman to the ground, according to police.

A Texas man ended up in jail after he knocked over an old woman fighting for a TV and then hit a police officer at an El Paso Walmart, police said, calling it a “Black Friday melee.”
When Walmart employees unwrapped a display of TVs, the large crowd gathered there began a mad rush.
Off-duty officers working for Walmart on the busiest shopping night of the year saw an old woman on the ground being stepped on by Ruben Garcia, 23, who was trying to take a TV from her, police said.

“The woman was crying and asking for help,” police said.
Amateur video shot at the scene shows an officer trying to pull Garcia away from the woman and the TV as a ring of people surround the altercation, many filming on their cell phones.

Garcia wouldn’t let go of the TV, police said, and choked and hit the officer in the process. A second officer stepped in, and Garcia was eventually arrested, police said.
He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a charge of assault on a public servant with a $5,000 bond, police said.
