Which Companies Are Also Doing 'Black Friday In July' Sales?

The success of Amazon's Prime Day has some retailers fighting back.

In 2015, Amazon decided it would essentially whip up a shopping holiday out of thin air. Prime Day, the company called it, a day in July to put a bunch of stuff on sale and see if they could get people buying at Black Friday or Cyber Monday levels, which they did and then some.

This year, other major retailers are trying to get in on the commercial fever too.

Major sales and deals have popped up all over the place in and around yesterday's Amazon Prime Day. We compiled a list of big savings events still going on so you can take advantage:

Best Buy will have a "Black Friday in July" sale on July 22 and 23 both online and in stores. Best Buy hasn't said much of anything else, though, about what will or won't be on sale.

Macy's is running in-store sales this week through July 17 for its "Black Friday in July" event. You can also get free shipping on all online orders over $50. See more details here.

Walmart has been doing major markdowns all month, but for this week only it's offering free shipping on all online orders. In an apparent jab at Amazon's subscription Prime service, Walmart says its deals and sales are "available for anybody."

Kohls is advertising "Beat the Heat Buys" through Thursday, including 20 percent off all online orders.
