White House Hoodwinked • HBO Episodes Hacked, Leaked • $15K Lighthouse For Sale: Patch Morning Briefing
Also: Scaramucci ousted, Sam Shepard dies, sign up for SXSW and more.
Good morning! It's Tuesday, and hopefully you're having a better week than Anthony Scaramucci. Here's what you need to know to start your day.
White House Fell Victim To 'Lazy Anarchist' Prankster
President Trump's new chief of staff, John Kelly, is working to streamline White House operations — and he may want to start with email protocols. CNN reported Monday night that high-level administration officials — including the recently booted Anthony Scaramucci — were duped by fake emails purporting to be from other government staff. While the prank produced some chuckle-worthy tidbits, it casts a light on the more serious issue of cybersecurity, especially at the top tiers of government. (CNN)

'Game Of Thrones,' 'Room 104' Episodes Leaked In HBO Cyberattack
It's not only the public sector that is vulnerable. Cable Giant HBO confirmed Monday that the network was the victim of a cyberattack that may have stolen and leaked exclusive programming. While acknowledging the hack, HBO officials declined to say which programs were targeted. But The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly reported that episodes of "Game of Thrones," "Ballers" and "Room 104" were leaked online. This is not the first time HBO has been hacked. (Patch)
