Woburn Board of Health Accepting Applications For $1,000 College Scholarship

The town is offering the scholarship in conjunction with Waste Management, and applications are due July 1.

Woburn's Board of Public health, along with its trash collection service Waste Management, are now accepting applications to apply for $1,000 higher education scholarship.

To qualify, you must be a resident of Woburn and enrolled at a post-secondary institution. This includes two-year and four-year colleges and universities, trade schools and also the military.

Applying for the scholarship is easy. Just send in your name, address, phone number and confirmation of enrollment at one of the qualifying institutions to Waste Management Scholarship, c/o Mayor Scott Galvin, 10 Common Street, Woburn, MA 01801.

The winner of the scholarship will be chosen at random from the qualifying applicants. The deadline for applications is July 1, 2016, when the selection will occur.
