ACROSS AMERICA — We’re flipping our last Block Talk question about the traits of an annoying neighbor. Oh boy, did you have a lot to say about that.

A few readers called us out for focusing on bad behavior and leaning in to the complainers. Fair enough. There’s a stack of research that shows people are more likely to complain than praise, but do not represent anywhere near the majority of people.

Still, quality of life matters when choosing a place to live or raise a family, and our readers raised some legit points about that one neighbor out of 100 who ruins it for everyone else.

But what about the 99 percent? Are they friendly but conscious of your space? Are they helpful without being a nuisance? Are they tolerant, live-and-let-live people? How do they handle disagreements and differences in the neighborhood?
