Watch Live Stream: CNN Health Care Debate With Sanders, Klobuchar, Graham, Cassidy
As the Graham-Cassidy bill moves forward in the Senate, four lawmakers will debate health policy on CNN.

WASHINGTON, DC — Sens. Bernie Sanders and Amy Klobuchar will debate health care policy with GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy Monday night at 9 p.m. Eastern.
As the Graham-Cassidy bill — a version of Obamacare repeal sponsored by Graham, of South Carolina, and Cassidy, of Louisiana — makes its way through the Senate, the debate comes at an opportune moment to influence the fate of the legislation. On Saturday, the parliamentary measure the Republicans are using to push the bill through will expire, scuttling their plans, at least temporarily, to fulfill their promise to "repeal and replace" Obamacare.
Klobuchar, a Democrat from Minnesota, and Sanders, an Independent from Vermont, will argue against the Republican attempts to dismantle Obamacare. Sanders recently introduced a single-payer health care proposal, but his staff has said that the goal tonight is to defend against Republican ideas. Klobuchar supports preserving Obamacare and has not backed the Sanders bill.

The Congressional Budget Office plans to release a preliminary analysis of the Graham-Cassidy bill by Monday night.
The bill would reduce the funding currently allocated through Obamacare and redistribute it across the states. Initial estimates projected that overall, federal health spending would be cut by more than $200 billion by 2026, and 34 states would see reduced funding. It would completely tear down the federal infrastructure for health care marketplaces and encourage each state to design the system and regulations on its own, which could leave people with preexisting conditions facing higher costs for their care.
