President Trump Makes Announcement About 'Jobs Of The Future'

The White House said the president will discuss his "commitment to equipping the American workforce for jobs of the future."

WASHINGTON, DC — President Trump will make an announcement Monday afternoon at the White House at 3 p.m. Eastern. According to a press advisory, he will discuss the administration's "commitment to equipping the American workforce for jobs of the future." Originally, the White House had prepared to live stream the event, but the video feed was canceled.

According to Recode, the president is set to announce a new directive providing $200 million to fund training in science, technology, engineering and math. He is reportedly working with his daughter Ivanka Trump, who works in the White House, on the initiative. Amazon, Facebook, Google and others are working with the administration on this initiative, according to Recode.
