WASHINGTON, DC — President Trump will meet the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team at the White House on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Eastern. You can watch a live stream of the meeting on Patch.

The Penguins won the Stanley Cup in June in a 2-0 victory over the Nashville Predators in Game 6. It's customary for winning sports teams to visit the White House, which has been a source of controversy recently. When Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry declined a visit with the president, Trump lashed out at the basketball star on Twitter. Ahead of the visit, the Penguins released a statement saying the team's attendance at the White House was not about politics.

"Any agreement or disagreement with a president's politics, policies or agenda can be expressed in other ways," the team said in a statement. "However, we very much respect the rights of other individuals and groups to express themselves as they see fit."
