WASHINGTON, DC — White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will deliver a briefing for reporters Friday at 1:30 p.m. Eastern. It was pushed back a half hour after first being scheduled for 1. You can watch the briefing live on Patch.
President Trump is currently facing blowback within his own party for striking a deal with Democrats to raise the debt ceiling on a limited basis. Reporters will likely also ask about the administration's work to prepare for Hurricane Irma, which appears to be on a collision course with Florida. The president will be at Camp David this weekend. All cabinet members and their spouses have been invited to join the Trump and the first lady at the presidential getaway.
