Hello! My name is Abigail Russ and I am a copy editing intern working on the national desk. I was placed at Patch through the Dow Jones News Fund as one of 11 multiplatform editing interns.
I am a junior at the University of Maryland, College Park perusing a dual degree in journalism and economics.
I currently work as a staff writer for our school's independent student newspaper, The Diamondback, covering the University Senate. In addition, I serve as a copy editor for Stories Beneath the Shell, another campus publication.
I enjoy editing, reporting and pitching new content ideas, as well as working on broadcast packages and photography. In my free time, I can be found watching football, cooking or going on road trips.
