I first started at Patch after moving to St. Louis in early 2011. I picked up a variety of freelance assignments that mostly consisted of every reporter’s favorite job -- going to meetings! I‘m now happy to be serving as a local editor in the Chesterfield, Eureka and Wildwood communities, and I’m looking forward to getting to all of you.
I’ve previously worked as a reporter and editor at newspapers in central Missouri and rural Kentucky. While there, I developed a love for community journalism. It’s great to be able to become closely connected to the people, events and organizations that you cover.
I’ve also had the opportunity to travel and live abroad, including a year as an English teacher in South Korea and a solo backpacking trip that took me from Beijing to Bangkok. When I’m not writing about everything happening in Chesterfield, Eureka and Wildwood, I can be found working on half-finished short stories, playing strategy board games and enjoying a finely crafted microbrew or two.
