Bio: Heather is an editor at Patch in Nassau County on Long Island. She grew up in Garden City before heading to Baltimore to study journalism at Loyola College in Maryland. While at college, she spent a semester in Stirling, Scotland. There, she caught the travel bug and eventually traveled to Ireland, Denmark, Spain, and Italy, where she interned at a travel magazine after graduating. When she returned home, she got her first real reporting job at Malverne-West Hempstead Patch. She was eventually made editor of Syosset Patch and spent two years on the North Shore, eventually launching Oyster Bay Patch. She returned to the South Shore in 2013 and now oversees 11 sites in Nassau County. She loves Harry Potter, iced coffee, the Travel Channel, and history books.
