Hi there, I'm Holly, the field editor for Gwinnett, Douglas, Bartow and Paulding counties. I'm brand new, but not to Patch. I was here in the very beginning and then took a side step. Glad to be back.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina in ... well a long time ago... so I'm a Tarheel born and raised. But have come to call Georgia home for now.

I've been in journalism for 20 years, some as a reporter and some as an editor. I've covered everything from hurricanes to moonshine making and all the mayhem in between. I've worked all up and down the east coast at various daily newspapers including Norfolk, Va., and here in Atlanta.

I'm the proud parent of two teenagers, a dog and two cats. Love the dog. I'm a cat person. You're one or the other. Anyway, glad to be online and reporting from my hometown of Douglasville. Call me with news tips and questions.
