The Friends of the Dog River Library is a not-for-profit organization formed in 2010. The group currently has over 100 members, and membership is open to anyone who loves libraries and reading.  The Friends funded “Christmas at Dog River” in December 2011, and is funding this summer’s reading programs for children at the library. The group sponsors the “Words in the Woods - Authors and their Books at the Dog River Library”, a monthly presentation.

The goal of the Friends group is to support the Dog River Library through fundraising and programming, and to enhance the literary community in Douglas County. Information concerning membership will be available at both events.
