Bio: A lifelong Long Islander, I received a Catholic school education, wearing my fair share of knee socks and penny loafers! After graduating from Marist College in 2001 where I was editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, I worked for a Long Island features website, a music magazine and News 12 Long Island. I then worked for Anton Newspapers for six years as the editor of two local weeklies. In 2006 I earned a Folio Award from the Fair Media Council for a news piece I wrote on Farmingdale's Republic Airport.
I continued on in my journo career in 2009, joining the Patch team as a Local Editor. I quickly moved up to Associate Regional Editor and now Regional Editor, where I manage 12 Patch sites on the South Shore of Nassau County.
In my personal life, my incredible husband, David, is a lifelong Bellmore resident and we're proud to be raising our family here. We also own a hot sauce company, Ellie's Lip Smackin' Sauce. ……………………………………………………….
