Alameda Municipal Power Substation Reaches Limits
A higher than expected demand leads Alameda Municipal Power to change the way power is sent to customers.

Volunteers will clean up local beaches, bays and waterways during the 38th annual event which begins at the Shorebird Park Nature Center.
The city also announced expanded hours at its libraries beginning Monday, Sept. 12.
The city’s cooling centers, which typically open on days when high temperatures exceed 91 degrees, are expected to remain open until Friday.
