Beat The Heat At One Of Fremont's Cooling Centers

The city's cooling centers, which typically open on days when high temperatures exceed 91 degrees, are expected to remain open until Friday.

FREMONT, CA — With a forecast high of 104 degrees Fahrenheit Tuesday, Sept. 6, the city of Fremont has opened its cooling centers to help residents beat the heat.

The city’s cooling centers, which typically open on days when high temperatures exceed 91 degrees Fahrenheit, are expected to remain open until Friday.

Cooling center locations include the Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth, at 40086 Paseo Padre Parkway, and the Age Well Center at South Fremont at 47111 Mission Falls Court are both open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Centerville Community Center at 3355 Country Drive, the Warm Springs Community Center at 47300 Fernald St and the Wally Pond Irvington Community Center at 41885 Blacow Road are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Fremont Main Library at 2400 Stevenson Boulevard is open Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and if needed, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
