St. John's School in Roseville to Close
In a letter to parents, St. John's School board president Keith Diederich said the school would cease operations as of the end of the 2011-2012 school year.

Lauren Gibbs was born and raised in Southern California. She attended CSU, Chico and earned her bachelor’s degree in both journalism and interior design. She decided to go the journalism route, following her love of writing.
After college, Lauren interned for a summer at Sactown magazine, an award-winning magazine, covering the city of Sacramento. Shortly after her internship, she joined the Roseville Press Tribune newspaper as a reporter, where she covered city, business and feature stories for Roseville and Granite Bay. From there, Lauren moved to the Roseville Press-Tribune’s sister paper, The Placer Herald, where she served as the associate editor for the Rocklin weekly paper. At The Placer Herald, Lauren covered education news, features on people in the community, business profiles and more.
When she’s not writing for Patch, she’s in her kitchen cooking and baking & playing with her baby girl. She also loves to take weekend getaways with her husband exploring California.
