Serendipity Yoga and Wellness

Each session offers a complete yoga experience, blending stretching and strengthening poses (asanas), calming and energizing breathing techniques (pranayama), and guided relaxation to help children unwind. These classes go beyond simplified versions of adult yoga—this is real yoga presented in a way that’s playful, imaginative, and engaging. Children are encouraged to laugh, explore, move freely, and work together, creating a supportive environment where they can connect with themselves and with others.
Yoga offers children more than physical benefits—it helps develop focus, balance, coordination, and body awareness. Through breathing practices and relaxation, they learn tools for self-regulation, stress management, and emotional resilience. By practicing in a fun, inclusive setting, children build confidence, kindness, and cooperation, carrying these valuable life skills with them beyond the mat.

Rooted in traditional Hatha and Kriya yoga and inspired by energy-based techniques, this class weaves long-held postures, purposeful sequencing, philosophical insight, and immersive music to deepen your internal experience. As the sun begins its slow return, we gather on this Winter Solstice morning to honor the stillness of the season and welcome the returning light. This retreat offers a peaceful space to pause, reflect, and reconnect before the new year unfolds.
Through deep breathwork, meditation, mindful movement, and the soothing resonance of sound healing, we’ll align with the quiet energy of winter—grounded, luminous, and full of potential. Our morning together will include a deeply restorative blend of gentle movement, a heart-centered chanting meditation, and guided reflection to help you cultivate gratitude and clarity.
We’ll close with a warm golden milk beverage ceremony, symbolizing renewal, radiance, and the light that lives within us all. Come as you are and join our vibrant Serendipity CommUNITY in celebrating this season of rest, reflection, and rebirth.

Take this opportunity to realign with what matters most to you and harness the support of those around you to amplify your individual and collective intentions. Together, we will engage in a deep Yin and Restorative practice, followed by a serene chanting meditation, rest, and reflection. 

Guided vision boarding and meditation prompts will help clarify and empower your intentions for the year ahead. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together!

Meditate, breathe, and read your way to radical resilience. This 90-minute gathering blends gentle asana, deep breathwork, meditation, and reflective dialogue inspired by Practicing Peace in Times of War by Pema Chödrön.
Together, we’ll explore how the teachings in this powerful text invite us to meet conflict—both inner and outer—with compassion, mindfulness, and courage. Through grounding practices and open-hearted conversation, we’ll reflect on what it means to embody peace in challenging times and to live these teachings in our daily lives.
This is more than a book discussion; it’s a shared practice of awakening and self-study within our Serendipity CommUNITY.
You are invited to come dressed comfortably, bring your yoga mat, and wear anything that helps you feel comfortable when seated. Plan to bring a sweater or a wrap to keep yourself warm. Chairs will be available for those who prefer.
Please come having read the book in its entirety. Your investment includes a copy of Practicing Peace in Times of War. Books will be purchased through Bookies in Chicago. You may pick up your copy in the studio after you have registered for this event. Reflection questions will be made available the week of the event.
