Event Dance Bootcamp. . . Beginner / Brush Up 
Dancing should be FUN! Learn social dancing to a variety of music for parties, weddings, cruises and dance events. Class size limited. You will learn a sampling of ballroom and club dances, such as basic Rumba, Cha-Cha, East Coast Swing and some club style dances. Great for beginners and for those who have been away from dance for awhile. A fun, no stress way to learn how to move on the dance floor. FOR THOSE GETTING MARRIED AND THEIR FAMILIES AND BRIDAL PARTIES - This is a fantastic, economical way to learn the basic movement/steps before you choreograph your first dance! Instructor Natalie Mazzola is a former amateur 10 dance champion, and a teacher for over 20 years at the Vitti's School of Dance in Danbury, CT. She loves to have fun, and her no stress attitude toward dance is clear as her students always leave with a smile! Weather makeup, if needed is added to the end of the class. 5 Sessions $135 per couple Tue., March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31&nbsp;from 7:15 to 8 p.m. at Veterans Park School. NOTE:&nbsp; Makeup, if needed, is 4/14. 
 
Ballroom Dance: Advanced Beginner 
Natalie Mazzola will teach a continuation of Ballroom, Rumba, Cha-Cha, and East Coast Swing steps to couples that know the basics of ballroom dancing. Instructor Natalie Mazzola is a former amateur 10 dance champion, and a teacher for over 20 years at the Vitti's School of Dance in Danbury, CT. She loves to have fun, and her no stress attitude toward dance is clear as her students always leave with a smile! Weather makeup, if needed is 6/3 or the next week added to the end of the class.

Line Dance for Beginners 
The ideal workout. Burn fat and calories while you are having fun! Do you know your right from your left, can you count to 8? Then you can line dance! We will start with the basics and build from there. If you have been to this course before, come on back, we have new dances lined up for this course. Please bring a water bottle and wear leather or suede soled shoes. Instructors Steve Parker and Ellen Russow have been dancing for over 28 years and teaching for over 16.

Mushroom Walk with Mycologist, Zaac Chaves 
Grab a notebook and join Zaac Chaves on a mycologically focused ecological tour in Ridgefield on Sunday, October 19 at 3 p.m. During this outing we will identify seasonal mushrooms. You will help us catalog species (including possibly rare sightings) and even help document increasing evidence of climate change locally. No experience required. Zaac Chaves works on species surveys for several sites and sometimes with organizations including Harvard University, the New York Botanical Gardens, and the National Parks Service. We have found several new species at many sites and are also helping recognize others which are rare and disappearing. He also serves as the chief editor of the Boston Mycological Club Bulletin, established in 1897.

Learn to effortlessly collect, organize, and cite sources from the web. We will cover creating bibliographies in various citation styles and integrating with word processors for seamless paper writing. Also using Zotero for class notetaking. Works with Google Docs too. Instructor Charles J Greenberg is an experienced academic librarian with long-term appointments at both Columbia and Yale Universities. He was the founding Library Director of Wenzhou-Kean University in Wenzhou, China from December 2013 to June 2019. He then joined the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine as Health Sciences Library Director from January 2020 to November 2023. Avoid probate, minimize estate taxes, protect assets from Medicaid, preserve IRA funds, provide for disabled family members, and protect your estate from your children’s creditors. Trusts keep you in control: You say what goes in, what comes out, and who does what. Avoid conservatorship during incapacity, litigation over your estate, costs of probate, and Medicaid forfeitures. Topics to be covered include: Revocable Living Trusts, Asset Protection Trusts, IRA Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, and Testamentary Trusts. Join instructor and researcher Sarah Miller as she presents strategies, tips, and tools to begin your ancestral research or address roadblocks using a variety of online sources. We will focus on American records available and how to locate them. She will also present a case study of how she solved a difficult family mystery, and will introduce international research. She will also discuss strategies to feel confident in sourcing your research.&nbsp;&nbsp;The presentation is followed by guided research time with access to paid genealogical subscriptions. Archaeology of Meso America 
 
The Rise of Civilization in Meso America ~ the Teotihuacan, Mayans, Toltecs, Aztecs 
This course follows the people of Teotihuacan, the Mayans, the Toltec, and the Aztecs from their beginnings to the formation of their cities, states and empires. They spoke different languages, but produced the same wonderful art, played the same ballgame, established extensive trade routes, built monumental cultural centers, practiced human sacrifice, and had similar pantheons of gods. The builders of these civilizations were an artistic, passionate, fierce people, who will fire your imagination. Instructor Lynn-Marie Wieland is a lithic (stone tools) archaeologist specializing in southern New England prehistory with an emphasis on the Indians of the Ridgefield area. She minored in Meso American Archaeology and has traveled extensively in Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. 
 
3 Sessions&nbsp; $ 79 (Ridgefield Seniors and Disabled pay $ 68)&nbsp; A Ridgefield Senior is a Ridgefield resident, age 62 and over.
