Sherell Williams was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She received her bachelor's in Communication with a concentration in journalism from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where she served as managing editor for the student newspaper, Broadside, and later the Best of Mason issue of the student-run VOX|POP magazine. She is a passionate journalist with an affinity for cultures and an addiction to green tea, chocolate, baseball, and tennis.
Sherell has served as the editor of Annandale Patch since September 2010. In June 2011, Annandale Patch received the Business of the Year award from the Annandale Chamber of Commerce for their coverage of the Annandale community. Sherell became the editor of Burke Patch in August 2012.
