Annandale Spring Clean-Up on Saturday Needs Volunteers

The Annandale Women's Club is sponsoring a clean-up this weekend to remove trash from the community.

Annandale residents and community members are invited to help pick up trash and litter around Annandale this weekend as part of a community clean-up event.

Sponsored by the Annandale Women's Club, the clean-up event is in need of volunteers to help pick up trash on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Annandale and Mason District residents have been vocal in the past year about the amount of trash and litter visible in the community. Last year during an environmental forum hosted by the Mason District Council, residents tried to brainstorm ways to beautify their neighborhoods while complaining about the growing issue of litter in parks, on medians, and elsewhere through the community. The litter, residents argued, makes the community look bad.
