The Old School Playground, Neighbor

The Old School Playground is an "unplugged" music trio in the Metro Atlanta area: three tall guys who perform fresh, close-harmony folk-rock arrangements of Top 40 hits from the Golden Age of Rock and Soul -- the late 1950s through the mid-1970s. We have hours of material ranging from the Beatles to the Association to the Stylistics to Frankie Valli and beyond.

"We all sing -- both lead and harmony vocals," says Peter, ringleader (and at 6'4" the tallest of the group). "I play 12-string guitar, John plays guitar and mandolin, and Tom plays harmonica and keeps the groove on percussion.

"Making music's great. But we also get a kick out of mixing it up with audiences so we keep our shows loose, and spontaneous. Good singers and players are always welcome to sit in, too, so that can result in fun and surprises. We want everybody at our shows to have fun -- including us."
