Here are the top three stories today in Salt Lake City:
- Salt Lake City firefighters have transitioned into wildfire response mode as the city enters the holiday fire season. Fire trucks will now carry wildfire helmets, goggles, and fire shelters. The department is concerned about dry, grassy areas outside of city neighborhoods in the Avenues. (KSL.com)
- The Salt Lake City Police Department's speed enforcement campaign has resulted in 96 citations. The department also gave out 22 warnings while stopping 122 drivers. The department primarily focused on routes leading in and out of Salt Lake City. (KUTV 2News)
- A truck crash blocked the westbound Interstate 80 ramp on Monday. The ramp was completely closed to traffic for multiple hours as the dump truck was removed. Crews also removed spilled asphalt from the crash site. Only minor injuries were reported during the incident. (FOX 13 News Utah)
