Wrong-way driver stopped on I-80 early Christmas morning (fox13now.com) — A wrong-way driver was stopped early Christmas morning after traveling more than 10 miles against traffic on I-80 near Salt Lake City International Airport. Utah Highway Patrol troopers safely halted the vehicle without a crash, then arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI after a field sobriety test. No injuries were reported, despite recent deadly wrong-way incidents statewide.

U. expands its Master of Business Creation program to a third continent — Europe (ksl.com) — Salt Lake City’s own University of Utah is taking its Master of Business Creation program global again, expanding online access to entrepreneurs in several European countries starting August 2026. From its headquarters here, the program offers mentorship, affordable tuition and a tight-knit founder community, all heavily backed by longtime benefactor Pierre Lassonde and the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute.

Local restaurants across Utah celebrate Christmas while at work (fox13now.com) — Workers at Salt Lake City’s Bambara and West Valley City’s Gallo Loco spent Christmas serving diners while finding their own ways to celebrate. From a family-run kitchen honoring a late father to staff far from home, they’re keeping holiday traditions alive before and after their shifts.

New documentary, book detail Elizabeth Smart's healing process (kutv.com) — Elizabeth Smart is opening up about her recovery from being kidnapped from her Salt Lake City home as a child, sharing how she rebuilt her life. Her new book “Detours” and a Netflix documentary premiering Jan. 21 explore her healing process and aim to help others move forward after trauma.
