- At a City Council meeting on Tuesday evening, Salt Lake County approved up to $7 million to pay off homeless resource center debt. The debt was incurred from the construction of the three new homeless resource centers in 2019. Salt Lake Council Chairwoman Laurie Stringham said that paying off the shelter system's debt early will save taxpayers money in the future. (KSL.com)
