• Vt. high school launches mentoring program to help freshmen transition (wcax.com) — Hartford High School is rolling out a new Link Crew mentoring program where selected juniors and seniors guide every incoming freshman through academic and social challenges. Students and staff hope the effort will ease anxiety, boost belonging, and improve attendance and behavior. Other districts curious about the program are invited to reach out to Hartford High.
   

• Local Roundup: Hanover edges Pelham in boys basketball thriller (vnews.com) — Hartford High athletes had a big weekend, with the boys basketball team dominating both games to capture the Stretch Gilliam Tip-Off Classic and all 11 players scoring in each contest. Hartford’s hockey team also saw heavy action, with goalie Nunu Mayer facing 30 shots in a tough matchup against Colchester. The roundup also highlights nearby Hanover and Lebanon teams’ early-season performances.
