$1M Powerball Ticket Sold In VA, Jackpot Grows To $176M
Two tickets worth $1 million were sold in the U.S. for Monday night's drawing. Another winning ticket was worth $2 million.
VIRGINIA — Check your Powerball tickets, Virginia. One lucky person in the state purchased a ticket for Monday's drawing worth $1 million.
The winning numbers in Monday's drawing were 8, 9, 11, 27 and 31. The Powerball was 17. No one matched all six numbers, meaning the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing will be worth an estimated $176 million.
The lucky ticket sold in Virginia matched all five white balls, making it worth $1 million. It's unclear where the ticket was sold.

Another $1 million was sold in Arkansas. A ticket worth $2 million — meaning the winner matched all five white balls and purchased the Power Play option — was sold in Texas.
Powerball drawings are held on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:59 p.m. ET. Powerball is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
