In Virginia, the most expensive home sits at the end of a private lane in McLean. With its French provincial architecture and panoramic views of the Potomac River, the home was made for entertaining. There are multiple guest or staff accommodations — one with a kitchen on the lower level of the home, and another above the garage.

The kitchen was designed with input from Maryland chef José Andrés, and a separate catering kitchen and wine room with a quartz crystal wine cellar and wet bar provide all the space and storage needed for entertaining guests.

The luxuries don't stop when you leave the home. Outside, there's a covered veranda with built-in heaters, retractable screens, a firepit and an outdoor kitchen.

"Designed for outdoor entertaining, the central lawn area was designed to accommodate a large tent for 200+ guests," the listing agent said. "Beyond, an infinity edge pool captures sunset views, and multiple terraces provide ideal vantage points for the truly spectacular views in all directions of the river, abundant wildlife, and the city of Washington beyond."
