VIRGINIA — A Virginia restaurant chain with five locations in the Commonwealth serves up the best burger, according to a national website.

Lovefood.com has published its list of the best burgers in every state based on genuine user reviews, awards and accolades and the firsthand experience of the website's team.

In Virginia, Lovefood.com believes the best burger bite can be had at Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint, which has restaurants in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Richmond, Roanoke, and Norfolk.

Here's what the website says about these exceptional Virginia burgers:

"There's a long list of indulgent burgers at Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint, but one favorite is praised above the rest: the Greg Brady, which sees a wagyu beef patty topped with/buried under mac ’n’ cheese, American Cheddar, and barbecue-flavored potato chips. Everyone raves about the potato fries and the fried Oreo too, so maybe save room for something sweet (if you can).

The restaurant website says: "Our burgers are 100% American Wagyu beef. Don’t ask for lettuce and tomato, our burgers are prepared simple and basic. Our specials are a creative twist on an American classic."

The Harrisonburg-based company began in the 1980s as a bar. Founder Aaron Ludwig says of its evolution:
