The MIL Corporation President to Chair 2025 Ride to End ALZ
Marisa Daley to lead national cycling event raising funds for Alzheimer's, dementia research

Marisa Daley, president of The MIL Corporation (MIL), will serve as the Executive Leadership Chair of the 2025 Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ® Nation’s Capital on Saturday, May 3 in Leesburg, VA.
Ride to End ALZ is a cycling event to directly impact the pace and momentum behind the fight to end Alzheimer's. Inspired by science and driven by a determination to end this disease, participants raise funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's. One hundred percent of funds raised support Alzheimer’s and dementia research.
“I accepted the generous invitation to chair the 2025 Ride to End ALZ Nation’s Capital because this is a worthy cause,” said Daley. “There is a need to expand awareness of the mission of the Alzheimer's Association and this event and I can help accomplish that. As an avid cyclist, I know my professional and athletic networks can bring new faces and connections to expand the success of this ride in its fourth year!”

Daley’s passions for cycling and athletics are a natural tie to the interest in research exploring lifestyle modifications that may help to reduce the risk for cognitive decline and dementia. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, two-thirds of Americans have at least one major risk factor for dementia. Scientists estimate that up to 40% of dementia cases worldwide may be attributable to modifiable risk factors.
The Alzheimer's Association, the world’s largest private funder of Alzheimer’s research, is funding the U.S. POINTER Study, a two-year clinical trial evaluating the impact of lifestyle interventions that are simultaneously targeting multiple risk factors. The study encourages increased physical exercise, a healthier diet, cognitive and social stimulation and self-management of heart and vascular health. Findings will be presented this summer at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in Toronto, Canada.
