This Restaurant’s Breakfast Sandwich Ranked As Best In VA

When not just any breakfast sandwich will do, head to Moore Street Cafe in Richmond.

It’s the home of the Breakfast Club Sandwich, which the food website Chowhound rates as the best breakfast sandwich in Virginia.

Here's what the food website says about the unique breakfast offering you'll find at Moore Street Cafe:

"Sometimes, the best meals can be found in no-frills spots. That's the case at Moore Street Cafe in Richmond, where diners say the Breakfast Club Sandwich is simply superb. It comes with layers of fried egg, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo, all of which is sandwiched between thick slices of Texas toast. Pair it with a mimosa pitcher and you're good to go."

To determine the best breakfast sandwich in every state, Chowhound looked at customer reviews on such sites as Yelp, TripAdvisor and Reddit, and narrowed the list down to restaurants whose breakfast sandwiches earned scores of at least 4.5 stars.

“In terms of the sandwiches themselves, we looked for key characteristics like freshness (no store-bought frozen breakfast sandwiches), the quality of the ingredients, and expert execution,” Chowhound said on the website. “Of course, great flavor was paramount.”
