Annandale Company In Top 100 Of Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing List

PingWind was the top ranked Fairfax County company on the 2021 list. Another 127 Fairfax County companies made the list.

ANNANDALE, VA — The Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies is out, and an Annandale-based company was the highest-ranked Fairfax County company.

Annandale's PingWind was ranked 75th on the list. It's one of five firms in the top 500 and one of 128 on the Inc. 5000 list from Fairfax County. The business provides IT and management consulting services to the federal government and is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. It is the third-fastest growing company in the category of government services as well as the third-fastest growing company in Virginia with 5,118 percent three-year growth.

The Inc. 5000 list ranks companies by percentage revenue growth from 2017 to 2020. Companies can qualify if they were founded and producing revenue by March 31, 2017 and are U.S. based. On average, companies on the list have 167 percent growth. The list contains 529 newly founded companies and 2,560 past honorees.

Overall, 331 companies on the list hail from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Other Fairfax County companies in the top 500 are Herndon's Centurion Consulting Group, Springfield's Black Bear Technology Solutions, Fairfax's Kreative Technologies and Reston's Old Dominion Strategies.
