The $5,000 grant will be used for the center's Financial Literacy School for Kids program.

The Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington (KCSC), a non-profit social service agency that helps Asian-Americans and new immigrants assimilate to life in the United States, was recently awarded $5,000 by the TD Charitable Foundation.

The grant money will go toward the KCSC Financial Literacy School for Kids program.

“KCSC has been providing Financial Literacy School for Adults for a long time. We are so glad to be able to expand the program to kids with the support of TD Charitable Foundation," said Harold Pyon, chairman of KCSC Board of Directors in a statement from TD Bank.

In addition to the The Korean Community Service Center offers a variety of programs including job placement, health care assistance, language help, housing assistance and more.

Td Charitable Foundation was founded in 2002 with the intent to give back to the community where TD Banks are located and "support and help our neighbors," according to their website.

TD Bank opened its Annandale location at 7209 Little River Turnpike in July 2011.
