Bailey's Crossroads Rotary Club Packs School Kits

Bailey's Rotary continues to support the community.

The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club held its annual Great Assembly school kit packing event July 29 at the Moose Lodge of Arlington Organizers Sarah Shannon and Dennis Shannon reported that more that 90 Rotarians and community volunteers packed about 2,000 kits for deserving students in the Justice High School Pyramid. Kits contains folders, pens, erasers, pencils, crayons, composition tablets and other essentials for high school, middle school and elementary students.
Volunteers will deliver the kits to the schools.
BXRC donated $6,200,0 to buy supplies. The Moose Lodge donated $400 for the event and graciously allowed us to use their ballroom as a staging area. All 2,000 kits were assembled in 90 minutes.
Rotarians volunteering their time included President Juanita Balenger, Past Presidents Curtis Anderson, Patricia Borowski, David Feld, Max Gross, Jim Holcombe and Steven Wasko. Other Rotarians participating included Monir Awad, Alice Bailey, Elise Bengtson, Vilma Blanco-Pacheco, Dave Borowski, Alif Brahim, Kari Kelly, Kathleen Kaspar-Paty, Pam Martinov, Polly Rosenstein and Pam Stoessell. President Jo Nam Do from the Annandale Rotary Club also helped to make the event a success.
