BXRC Rotarians Support 'Gary Claus'

Toys for Bailey's Crossroads Children

On Saturday, December 6, the Bailey’s Crossroad’s Rotary Club and the Fairfax County Mason District police joined forces on December 6 for the annual Gary Claus Toy Drive. Gary Claus (AKA Officer Gary Moore) started the drive several years ago on a dare. It gained momentum and continues to this Day.
The Rotary Club contributed $2000 from our Mustang Sweepstakes efforts with Target, Leasing Agents Parnership/Parkwood Apts., Fairfax County Police Cadets, and some police officers contributing an additional $900. The toys will be taken to the Mason District station to be wrapped and delivered to kids in the Culmore area.
In addition to the Gary Claus campaign BXRC purchased $750.00 of toys and delivered them to St Anthony’s Church for distribution, and provided $210.00 of gift cards to be used for police volunteers.
The total donated this season is $3,860 of which $2,960 was from the Mustang Sweepstakes.
