When does holiday break begin for FCPS schools? We've got that date and others you'll want to know this winter.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Students are back in school for just a few more weeks until the extended winter holidays. And parents better pull out the calendar now and start making plans.
Fairfax County Public School students get a full two weeks away from classrooms, book bags and homework.
According to the school calendar for 2016-17, the winter holiday begins on Dec. 19 and runs through Monday, Jan. 2.

- Dec. 19-Jan. 2, 2017: Winter Break
- Jan. 16: Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday Holiday - Student Holiday
- Jan. 20: Inauguration Day - Student Holiday
- Feb. 3: Second Grading Period Ends*+Students Released Two Hours Early
- Feb. 6: Student Holiday
- Feb. 20: George Washington's Birthday - Presidents' Day Holiday -Student Holiday
