Last Day to Vote Absentee in Person Is Saturday in Fairfax County
If you don't think you'll be able to vote on Election Day, you can vote absentee by mail or in-person at 10 locations in Fairfax County.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- The last day to vote absentee in person in Fairfax County is Saturday. Absentee voting is up in the county, with 57,109 ballots mailed out to voters who requested them. So far, 29,764 voters have voted absentee by mail and 60,021 have voted absentee in person. That makes for a total of 89,785 absentee votes tallied so far in Fairfax County.
You have until 5 p.m. Saturday to vote in-person absentee at 10 locations across Fairfax County. More than half a million Fairfax County residents are expected to vote in the Nov. 8 election. During the last two presidential elections, the county had an 80 percent turnout and is expecting a similar turnout this year. The county has 243 voter precincts, where voting will take place Nov. 8 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
You may want to consider absentee voting, especially if you have a long commute, have a disability or illness, or you are a first responder, the county elections office said. There are 19 valid reasons to vote absentee in Virginia, including working and commuting to and from home for 11 or more hours between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Election Day. There are two ways to absentee vote, in-person and by mail. To do either, you should first check your voter registration status to make sure it is up-to-date. Then you will need to apply for an absentee ballot. Note: If you vote absentee in-person you will fill out the application when you arrive at the in-person absentee location (see locations below).
Hours: Absentee voting Saturday is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Today (Friday) it's from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
