Mason District Bike Lanes: Community Meeting Set

Community meeting set for March 21 on proposed Mason District bike lanes.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will host a community meeting on proposed bicycle lanes in Mason District on Monday, March 21, from 6:30-8 p.m., at the George Mason Regional Library, 7001 Little River Turnpike in Annandale.

The new bike lanes will be created during Virginia Department of Transportation’s summer road repaving. Bicycle facilities are proposed on Heritage Drive, John Marr Drive, Markham Street, McWhorter Place and Ravensworth Road.

The public is encouraged to learn more about the project, offer feedback on areas of concern and discuss overall goals for bicycling in this area. For those who cannot attend the meeting, a form for questions or comments is available online at 1.usa.gov/1XqMi4V.
