• The Largest Jane Austen Collection in North America is, Surprisingly, Right in Our Backyard (baltimoremagazine.com) — A nationally recognized Jane Austen scholar first discovered Emma as a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Annandale, before going on to help steward North America’s largest Austen collection at Goucher College in Towson. The piece explores how that Baltimore-area collection grew from alumna Alberta Burke’s passion, and how it now draws hundreds of devoted Janeites and researchers from around the world.
