• Additional school boundary changes proposed (annandaletoday.com) — Families connected to Annandale High School face significant potential changes as Fairfax County Public Schools refine boundary plans that could shift hundreds of students among nearby elementary, middle, and high schools starting in 2026–27. Bren Mar Park students will keep their current Holmes–Edison path for now, while proposals involving Annandale, Lewis, Justice, Falls Church, and several elementaries highlight how distance, traffic, and school capacity are reshaping local enrollment patterns.
   

• Updated Urban Design Guidelines Endorsed for Community Revitalization Districts and Areas (fairfaxcounty.gov) — Newly updated Fairfax County urban design guidelines will directly shape future redevelopment in Annandale’s Commercial Revitalization District, influencing streetscapes, parks, buildings, and pedestrian access. The county also created Annandale-specific companion guidelines to reflect the area’s character and priorities, following extensive community input across all revitalization districts.
